The Umorok Red pepper is a ghost pepper type from Manipur, India, and is an extremely flavorful, fiery hot pepper. The locals call this type of pepper "King Chili" for its extremely hot taste, and boy is it hot!

The Umorok pepper plant grows over 4 ft. tall and is a high yielder, but be aware, as it will produce a ton of peppers! These pods will have wrinkly, scary-looking skin with curved, hook-like tails. The red Umorok chili ripens from light green, and yellow, to finally a bright red color.

As you cut the pod open, you will notice a lot of oil residing inside the pepper where the heat develops. When you take a bite, you’ll notice loaded sweetness with slight floral tones and not a lot of bitterness. That’s before the heat kicks you! You won’t be disappointed growing the Umorok Red peppers.
